,The Simpsons Halloween Special Volume 4 from 1989 is still a very popular classic Halloween show to enjoy. The episode was inspired by 1950's horror comics and is more suitable for adults as it is a bit scary for young children.
The story is based around Lisa, Maggie and Bart sharing scary halloween stories on Halloween Day in their treehouse. "Bad Dream House" which is the first segment is based on haunted houses, "Hungry are the Damned" the second segment portrays the Simpsons beiing abducted by the aliens Kang and Kodos, and the last segment is based on the adaptation of "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe and gets the most praise from critics.
